Restaurant Review: Paesano Restaurant & Wine Bar
My new hometown of Ann Arbor, Michigan, boasts a vibrant and eclectic food scene. You can find a good spot for whatever ethnic cuisine you’re craving or indulge in an award-winning fine dining establishment or good ole pub. Ann Arbor really has it all. So, which among these reigns supreme? For me, Paesano Restaurant & …
Restaurant Review: Coast, Oceanfront Dining
Disney is excellent handling food allergies. Restaurants stock allergy-friendly foods and chefs know how to prepare them safely. I thought this was a unique Disney attribute. Then I found Coast, and enjoyed a delicious dinner, made by an allergen-train chef, right on the ocean.
Restaurant Review: Nile Ethiopian Restaurant
In the few weeks prior to my recent trip to Orlando, I was craving Ethiopian food. If you’ve never had the opportunity to enjoy Ethiopian before, you should try it! Many, many traditional dishes are already gluten free and vegan. Even the injera bread, which is used as a utensil, is gluten free since it’s …
Restaurant Review: Vintage Chophouse
With arguable the best view of any restaurant in the Petoskey/ Bay Harbor area, Vintage Chophouse is also able to safely and deliciously accommodate gluten-free and vegan eaters.
Travel Destination: Boyne City/ Petoskey area, Mich.

Restaurant Review: Greenspace Cafe
This cafe is already all vegan, but they also take food allergies very seriously and serve up some pretty fantastic plant-powered dishes.
Restaurant Review: Renee’s Gourmet Pizzeria
Eating a delicious pizza safely at a restaurant seemed like a long-lost dream not too long ago. Then Renee’s, an all gluten-free and nut-free pizzeria, opened its doors near my house. Now I can enjoy really good pizza without the risk of cross-contamination whenever I have a craving.
Restaurant Review: Panera Bread
Panera does a great job of warning customers that wheat, egg, dairy, and other common allergies are used in their bakeries and that cross-contamination may occur. Every Panera has a sign right behind the cashiers saying so. To my initial shock, they’ve also launched a “gluten conscious” cookie, even though it’s not quite gluten free.
Restaurant Review: P.F. Chang’s
P.F. Chang’s has won a lot of praise for their gluten-free menu, and on the whole, that recognition is well-deserved.
